Ant, The GameCat, Smith

Rhythmic, Melodic, Loud and occasionally Scary the silver tongue of the badger-bearded bard of the boudoir puts the emphasis on Performance in Performance Poetry. With two years on the London circuit and gigging credits that include sharing the bill with Michael Horovitz, Fran Landesman, TV Smith, Eddie Tenpole and (soon) Attilla the Stockbrocker take the chance to see something special before fame and riches spoils it for us all.

Ant's latest inner-personality to break-out - The GameCat - treads a fine line between traditional poetic forms and raucous punk-rock covering everything from life as a stalker through messy love games and all the way down to death, debauchery and the afterlife. "horrendous and strange", anonymous review.

Honestly Dishonest

I believe that honesty's

divisible by a whisker

love it's vim, and it's vigour

Hate it's ancient candid rigour

To be right's not arrogant,

but then to be dumb's not wise

With my cloak of honesty

and shield to inflect lies

I don't so much find I speak,

more I proselytise

Idiocy's the last refuge

of a roguish man

Silence never offers prophets

more than gaudy secret lockets

Silence seeps in deep desires

So many covert secret smiles

Trouble finds me in it's heart

as I take a stand

Honesty in equal parts

both gifts and curses man
